It's a conversation Rebekah's been putting off for a while. She's found herself a nice apartment in Port Royal and she adjusts to life there easily enough. It's nice to have Bass closer -- to see him on a much more consistent and regular basis. Elijah occasionally calls or texts her when she has the time but for the most part she's disconnected from her life back home. It's for the best, freedom is what she asked for, after all.

But the longer they're together means the longer she's had to tell Bass little white lies and half truths to cover up her big secret. She doesn't like lying to him. Which is why she asked him over for dinner tonight so they could talk.

She ordered in some food and opened a bottle of wine as well -- because she has a feeling she'll need that alcohol.

After pleasantries and other things are exchanged and they both finally sit down Rebekah starts with:
