Rebekah doesn't expect to hear from Niklaus again so soon. Or at all, really. He had all but banished her from New Orleans. And yet, when he asks her to come take his child for safety she doesn't think twice before getting in her car. There's nothing she wouldn't do for her family, for her niece.

Hope. Her name is Hope.

She calls Bass on her way back to fill him in on things. And to give him an out. Not everyone wants to take care of a special half vampire half werewolf part witch baby that they have to pretend is otherwise dead. It's going to be dangerous.

But he agrees to it, and she's grateful.

She makes her way into the apartment after the long drive, calling out for him.

"We're home."

In her arms is the little newborn baby. Ideally, she shouldn't be separated from her mother so early.

Nothing about this is ideal.
