Open Picture Prompt Post

An Open RP Post, with a ~twist~. Basically, I love picture prompts more than life itself, so this is what you do.

1. You choose one of your characters.
2. You leave me a picture prompt and/or what character of mine you're requesting (if you don't request a specific one, I turn the wheel of RP fortune or something like that).
3. I comment setting up a scenario inspired/based on the prompt

It must be nice, having a brother. Closest I ever got to that was my aunt Kate.

Caroline's always dedicated with this stuff. [ matt turns to her a bit curiously, catching the look of awe on her face. it isn't anything like how she looked at that ball. the ball in which she gave him a grand tour, showed him her favorite room in the whole house. showed him her room, something so vulnerable about it.

balloons and trickling stars make her look in such a way that fancy balls can't, and it makes her that much harder to figure out. ]

Why's this stuff so important to you, anyway?

So I've noticed. We didn't even kill each other working on this one.

[Miracle of miracles, to be honest.

It's different. Sure, the ball had been nice and all, but she's been to a million balls with her family. This is different. Simple. A right of passage she's never gotten to have before.

At his question she shrugs her shoulders a little, trying to deflect.]

I've never gotten to go to one before, I wanted to see what it's like.

[She grins.]

I've been a few times. It's definitely something to do.

[She'll wander back over with a two glasses and a bottle of whiskey, sliding into the chair across from her.]

So. Since no news is apparently bad news, what happened?

There's this ancient order of hunters, the Five, who supposedly have a cure for vampirism. I knew one of them, a long time ago. My brother and a...friend of ours used me for information, and then daggered me so I coudn't infringe on their plans.

[She leans back in the booth with a seriously offended look on her face.]

Those dicks.

When you're going to live as long as we will, it's always good to find some.

Yeah. I guess. He sorta...raised me. My mom left when I was real little and my dad took off 'bout the time I was twelve, so Billy got stuck with me. It's awesome you got an aunt though. Billy and me ain't got any extended family that we know of.

Keeping busy keeps you sane. Or at least that's what they tell me.

Exactly.

Which is part of the reason why I came to see you.

Seems to be kind of true.

Had. [Kate's dead. And she was also...a sociopath it turns out.] It's just me and my dad, these days. [They lost so much in Beacon Hills -- she can't blame her father wanting to get away from it all.]

[ matt's more intuitive than he's given credit for.

honestly, it goes with the whole invisible thing. people kind of overlook him easily, and that lets him, in turn, look at things more closely. if he notices she's trying to deflect, he doesn't call her on it.

he does study her for a moment, his lips curving almost imperceptibly. ]

So? [ he turns to her expectantly. ] Does it meet your approval?

[easily]

[She nods a little.] It does. [She smiles, closing her eyes for a moment. She can almost imagine just being a girl, a human girl going to a dance with a boy she really liked. It's a nice thought. It's nice to pretend, even if just for a moment, just for a night.

Of course, she's not just a girl but this is still her first high school dance and she is here with a boy she really likes so perhaps it's not all pretend for once. She opens her eyes, the smile shifting to something more genuine now.]

It exceeds it, even.

So what have you been doing? Other than traveling?

What do you need?

Help. I've been out for weeks, and they have information I need. [There's a pause.] And of course, I'd like a little payback too.

I went to college a couple of times. Even played college football for a while, though I quit before I could gain too much attention.

I've run with a few packs, but mostly I keep to myself.

Well.

[She perks up a bit, leaning against the table with a grin.]

I happen to be very good at getting information. Who do you need to get it from?

[easily]

Stefan for the most part. And his little girlfriend, Elena. I know they've been looking for the thing I was daggered about.

It sounds like a good life. What did you study in school?

Are they back in that Mystic Falls place?

[easily]

Yes, they would be.
