An Open RP Post, with a ~twist~. Basically, I love picture prompts more than life itself, so this is what you do.

1. You choose one of your characters.
2. You leave me a picture prompt and/or what character of mine you're requesting (if you don't request a specific one, I turn the wheel of RP fortune or something like that).
3. I comment setting up a scenario inspired/based on the prompt

[ matt didn't get it, at first. why rebekah would have an interest in him. even as a person, or a friend, he couldn't see it. why this timeless vampire would be so hellbent on going to prom and being part of the committees. and he does now, he thinks. he gets what he can give her. she's not human, but she can feel like a human girl that's just going to a dance with a human boy.

he can give that to her, and maybe he wants to.

matt turns to rebekah when she says it exceeds it. ]

Night's not over yet.

[ he lifts up his arm in offer, before he tilts his head toward the dance floor. ]

[easily]

[She smiles, taking his arm easily.]

No, it's just beginning.

[And they might as well enjoy themselves for now because knowing the Mystic Falls track record they would eventually go awry.

As he leads her onto the dance floor a slow number is playing. She takes one hand in her own while resting the other on his shoulder.]

[ they part ways, they three who are left. elijah shakes them off, discards them like offal, but that's expected, these days. but rebekah is not, and klaus takes a little time to himself to consider it, to see if he can weather the challenge of existing on his own.

the thing of it is, klaus wasn't built for it. the world opens up into a gaping chasm before him, with nothing but his own thoughts and words to fill it. it's terrifying and he hates it, hates everything about it. and so he tracks down rebekah, because isn't that how things have always been? where his other siblings failed him, rebekah had stood at his side for eons. surely she'll come back to him.

with the right incentive, of course. ]

Good morning, sweet sister. Do you care for a drink?

[ as if she hadn't spoken, because klaus wants everything on his terms, wants this little play to go a certain way and rebekah had always been the one to indulge him. surely that hadn't changed, in all these years. ]

GOLD STAR.

[honos]

[ elijah knocks the shot on the bar before tossing it back with practiced ease. there's a certain distaste to the motion, like elijah finds it all so very far beneath him. but then, elijah's always had the sort of expensive, pretentious tastes that don't quite fit into rebekah's carefully cultivated air of youth. ]

It doesn't suit you.

[ it's a sigh, elijah's quiet way of professing that his sister could do so much better than tequila and salvatores and human teenagers. ]

Tell me, Rebekah. What shall you do now?

I TRIED

[easily]

[Rebekah can be snooty and pretentious with her tastes but blend in with the times as needed. Mostly because she's been stuck in a teenage mindset for about a thousand years. The girl who never got to grow up, the girl who just wants to be like the other teenagers.

She knocks back her own shot with ease, the alcohol burning down her throat. She quirks a brow.]

What does suit me?

[All she wants is the things she never got to have. Proms and stupid corsages and getting married and having children and all those things a woman is supposed to have.]

I have not quite decided yet. There's so much to be desired in this town, but it's been nice, feeling settled in one place for a while.

[easily]

[Perhaps she's been waiting for it, waiting for him to track her down like he always does. Niklaus hates being alone, and she has been his companion for centuries, why would he let that change now? She once promised always and forever and he's holding her to her words.

But she's had the taste of having a life of her own, having something besides being his lapdog, his scapegoat, his lifeline. She's not exactly eager to go back to all of that.

And yet she'd be lying if she said she didn't miss him. Life without him doesn't make sense the way she had hoped it would.]

I'm not hungry.

[It's a lie, she hasn't fed yet this morning but she's hardly going to give into his bait so easily. She can't be that easy.]

Did you get displayed anywhere?

Road trip. Sounds like fun.

[easily]

It does have it's promise. You'll help me, then?

A few places. I think some might still be in museums.

[dillonrockstar]

[Tim furrows his brow a bit.] Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you could use that drink.

You'll have to give me the names sometime. I'd love to go see them.

Of course. I am always available to help a friend in need.

[That kind of loyalty isn't something Rebekah is used to these days. It's refreshing.]

I was thinking of calling in one of my other brothers to help as well.

[lockwood]

I could take you, if you want. [she deserves to see the world outside of mystic falls. And it might be nice to have a familiar face around.]

[transferee]

Yeah. [She smiles weakly.] I think I could.

Even better. I happen to be very good at team work too.

Good. You remember Kol, I assume.

[braveandstupid]

[She turns to look at him, a wide smile crossing her face.]

Really?

[dontkanyeme]

[And she can't help but smile a bit at that.]

I remember him well.

[easily]

I thought you might. He'll be the one helping us.

[dontkanyeme]

This just keeps getting better and better.

I thought you might see it that way.

[dontkanyeme]

We've worked together well in the past -- I don't see why it can't be the same now.

[He smiles a little back.] Really
