how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

And there's a time where that would of been enough, she would have risked everything to try to fix things with her family -- but it feels like there isn't anything left there to saved. Besides, there's a part of her that's jealous, bitter even. All she had wanted was a chance to be human again, to get married and have children and Niklaus gets so freak miracle child?

It isn't fair. But nothing ever is.

Besides, she doesn't quite want to close the book on whatever this is with Matt just yet.

"Assuming he doesn't kill the girl before she comes to term, which knowing my brother...well it's surprising he hasn't already with the way it sounds like they're trying to use it as leverage over him.

"Yeah, I can. I guess...it doesn't seem like much anymore." There's a heavy sigh. "You know the last thing my mom wanted to see was me graduating."

"Modern music isn't that bad. Who listens to AC/DC anymore?"

"It is. Melissa seems to be doing okay with it all, at least. I know she went back to work pretty quickly."

She laughs a little roughly at that.

Rough day? Rough week, rough year, it's been a pretty rough life in general since Ali died.

She shrugs her shoulders a little.

"Yeah, I guess so."

She smiles a bit at that. "Maybe it'd be worth it to stick it out, then. At least until graduation."

"She's been dealing with Scott being a wolf for a while, though, right?" She shrugs. "Not saying that what she went through is easy, but at least it isn't her whole world view changing."

[hasperkynipples]

Dean pauses for a moment before raising his hand and pointing to himself with it. "AC/DC is awesome."

"She'd probably come back to haunt me if I didn't."

[visiongirl]

Cordelia "pffts" a little. She disagrees. "Says you."

"True, but I imagine being kidnapped is still pretty rough on someone."

"Which really is the last thing you want. Trust me on that." Bela's been on the bad end of too many angry spirits. Her tone makes it seem like she's joking, but no, she's totally serious.

"Yeah, that's true." She nods. "Maybe she's just good at compartmentalizing."

"You work for a guy who thinks Manilow is the be-all and end-all, I think your opinions are a little skewed."

Klaus gets a kid and Katherine gets to be human again. Sure, the latter was a defense on Elena's part, a way of saving herself and stopping Katherine using what she had on her. Older and stronger, Katherine was no match for Elena — but as a human, she no longer posed a threat to her vampiric doppelgänger. He understood why Elena did it, and likely would've done the same had he been in her position, but that didn't mean he was thrilled about Katherine Pierce being human again.

That, combined with Klaus having a child on the way, had to be like a slap in the face for her.

"It's not the kid's fault his father's a dick."

It is. Of all people Katherine got the cure -- someone who hadn't even wanted it. And then Klaus is getting some miracle child he doesn't even want and not for the first time does Rebekah wonder if the world is playing some sort of rude joke on her.

"I know."

But it feels like if she goes back to her brothers it's just settling for how things always were with them.

[lockwood]

"Believe me, I know."

He's heard enough from Matt about the fiascos with Vicki's ghost.

[visiongirl]

"Hey! You can't blame me for Angel's bad taste!"

[claustrophobias]

"I wouldn't doubt it." Which is probably for the best. Scott has enough to worry about.

That he does. Cora then nods awkwardly, not really sure what else to say. People aren't really her strong suit. It could be argued that it's not any Hale's strong suit, but that's not her place to stay.

"Still, if you guys need us, you can call. It may take us a while to get back though."

[hasperkynipples]

His eyebrows go up. "No, but I can blame you for yours. AC/DC rules!"

"Still - you can go anywhere, do anything. Some people may be a little envious of that." Including the person who happens to be sitting next to him.

Jason looks at her when she shrugs her shoulders like that.

He knows as soon as she does that it is rough even if she's downplaying it greatly. They're wired the same after all.

From what he knows of what she's been through, rough's putting it lightly anyway. But he understands that. Rough life since Ali died. Rough everything. Being suspicious of everyone even (maybe especially) himself.

"Mind if I walk with you? House has... seriously been feeling empty today." And every day, but.

"You can't tell me that you're not at least curious to see how all this works out."

Because somehow, Matt's become the person who knows Rebekah the best outside of Elijah, in all likelihood. And unlike her older brother, Matt's more willing to see the changes in Rebekah, to see her as she is now versus how she used to be. He doesn't have a thousand years of history to inform him of how she supposedly ought to be, just the here and now and that summer they spent together abroad.
