"So that was Klaus." Now he gets why she won't invite him to the wedding. Aidan moves to put the lamp back where it belongs before reaching to pull Rebekah up, getting her to look at him. "Are you okay?" She told him Klaus was a jerk and a terrible brother, but he didn't think she was entirely serious. Every family has their issues; their own set of problems. His family: his wife and his son -- they've been long gone, but he's made a new one. He has his best friends, Josh and Sally, who've all been at each other's throats before, and now, Rebekah -- the woman he plans to marry.

They had met in a bar. He'd knocked into her by accident and spilled some of his drink on her dress. He was very apologetic. Sure, it's not the best of stories to tell when anyone asks, but not everyone can have a perfect start to an eternity together. Besides -- what counts is what they have now, and he's never been happier.

They had been looking forward to a quiet night spent together. He'd been busy pulling extra shifts at the hospital all week. Still, Aidan's not exactly sorry their dinner's ended up on the wall and on the floor. As much as he loves her, he's never going to get the hang of shoving food in his mouth. But as for Klaus barging into their home and upsetting Rebekah, he's not happy with that. The original hybrid reminds him a little of Bishop. He can see that her brother's more than a little controlling and it worries him.
