Open Post the Sequel

how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

Alek winces when he reaches out, but doesn't manage to catch her in time.

Sometimes he forgets his own strength. It isn't something he's used to, like his brothers are. You'd think his reflexes would've kicked in there, but his own mind was elsewhere. He offers her his hand, but she picks herself up (Allison Argent will always pick herself up off the ground, okay) and he gives a small, apologetically lopsided smile.

"I'm the one that's sorry. Should've been paying attention, too. You okay?"

The narration promises that there is no affiliation with Derek, Peter, or their manpain.

"I'm fine, I promise."

Even if she wasn't, she'd say she was anyways. Allison's not so good at admitting she's hurt -- especially to strangers. But all things considered it was a pretty minor stumble and other than a few scratches and bruises she'll heal alright. She may be only human but she's tough. She's built herself out of arrows and steel.

Good. No one wants that manpain tbh.

Manpain can take a hike.

Alek shifts uncomfortably at the declaration she is fine. It isn't that he is doubting it, but he sees the scratches and bruises. Never mind he's got some of his own. "You should still ... take care of that," he says, frowning at the sight.

"I've got a first aid kit in my car." Pause. "You don't have to follow me to the car. I can bring the kit to you."

Because that offer sounds creepy whether you're a good person or you're not.

Get out and never come back, manpain.

Allison's instinct to insist she doesn't need help. Especially from a stranger. But he seems nice and it's always possible he won't say no for an answer. She nods finally, conceding.

"I'll wait here then."

Because yeah, not following you back to your car stranger, that's how girls get killed.

He expects the response.

Anyone that would go with him would be a little too trusting, in his mind. He gets why she's cautious, and doesn't fault her for it. Still, true to his word, Alek returns several minutes later with a first aid kit in hand.

"It's nothing fancy," he says with a sheepish, somewhat apologetic look. It's a tin box in which he's gathered things that he's needed when he gets into fights, to patch himself up before he gets home so his brothers don't ask too many questions.

"But I think it'll do the trick."

Allison waits for him to come back -- wondering if he's even going to be. It's not like she knows him or anything. But she waits for a little while anyway.

And eventually he does come back. She smiles a little when he explains the kit he has.

"I'm sure it'll be more than fine."

Alek scratches the back of his head as he gingerly sits on the opposite side of the bench. He really is sorry. No one would ever say Alek doesn't have anger issues. He's gotten into plenty of fights, seemingly for no good reason sometimes, but he doesn't like hurting people that don't deserve it.

That's one of his greatest fears, even if he logically knows she's fine, and it wasn't severe.

"I'm Alek. By the way." Smooth, Alek. Smooth.

She's definitely gotten hurt worse before. She's made of tough stuff, Alek, no need to worry about it. This wasn't your anger issues, it was just an accident. And those happen sometimes.

She certainly doesn't hold it against him.

Which is why she flashes him a smile.

"I'm Allison."

Alek gives her a smile back, tentative but still earnest in its intentions. He looks at his elbow, slightly scraped and nothing to really worry about. He'll tend to it just in case.

"Hey, Allison," he says easily, smile widening a fraction.

It's Alek's version of nice to meet you.

"You're not from Chicago, are you?"

Mostly, her own elbows are what got the worst of the fall, and her palms. Nothing too bad, overall. She'd certainly live.

She laughs a little at that.

"Is it that obvious?"

"Maybe just a little bit," he says with a quietly amused smirk, lifting up his hand and utilizing his thumb and index finger to convey it. "I've lived here for a good while now, and Chicagoans have a certain way of speaking. You kind of learn to pick it up as you go along."

The fact he's got very sharp hearing doesn't hurt.

"And I'm guessing how different Wanderers sound kind of sticks up after a while, doesn't it? I guess it's a good thing I'm used to being the new girl," She offers with a smile. She's moved around so much it surprises her almost that she had never lived in Chicago before this.

Maybe that was for the best though. She misses her family, misses her father, enough as it is.

"Yeah?" he asks with a small smile of his own. He likes Wanderers. He doesn't get why some people are so hellbent on blaming them for everything that happens in the city. They're as blameless as the rest of them. "I'm guessing despite how used to it you are, being new to a whole new world takes it to another level."

Alek leans back on the bench, tilting his head to look at her. "So you moved around a lot?"

"A new world definitely is a little out of my normal experience, not going to lie about that," She confirms with a small nod. She still remembers waking up here, panicked and freaked out. If people like Buffy and Elena hadn't found her she thinks she would have had that much of a harder time adjusting.

She nods a little. "Yeah. My family never stayed in one place long really."
