how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

"So that was Klaus." Now he gets why she won't invite him to the wedding. Aidan moves to put the lamp back where it belongs before reaching to pull Rebekah up, getting her to look at him. "Are you okay?" She told him Klaus was a jerk and a terrible brother, but he didn't think she was entirely serious. Every family has their issues; their own set of problems. His family: his wife and his son -- they've been long gone, but he's made a new one. He has his best friends, Josh and Sally, who've all been at each other's throats before, and now, Rebekah -- the woman he plans to marry.

They had met in a bar. He'd knocked into her by accident and spilled some of his drink on her dress. He was very apologetic. Sure, it's not the best of stories to tell when anyone asks, but not everyone can have a perfect start to an eternity together. Besides -- what counts is what they have now, and he's never been happier.

They had been looking forward to a quiet night spent together. He'd been busy pulling extra shifts at the hospital all week. Still, Aidan's not exactly sorry their dinner's ended up on the wall and on the floor. As much as he loves her, he's never going to get the hang of shoving food in his mouth. But as for Klaus barging into their home and upsetting Rebekah, he's not happy with that. The original hybrid reminds him a little of Bishop. He can see that her brother's more than a little controlling and it worries him.

Every family has their problems -- and then there was her family. Klaus on the regular liked the dagger his siblings and stuff them in coffins when they didn't do what they wanted. She's surprised he didn't have one of those daggers on him tonight.

"That's my darling big brother," She says as he tugs her back up. Rebekah's never had much in friends -- all she's ever really had is her brothers. But she has Aiden now. Which is something. More than she had allowed herself to hope for in a long time.

She's allowed Nik to take so many things from her, this won't be one of them.

"I'll be fine," She tries to assure both him and herself. She can't help but feel put off from the whole thing. She knows Aiden doesn't really like forcing down regular food but sometimes it's nice to cook him meals like a normal fiance might. And then Nik had come in and ruined everything.

Why it's so hard for him to allow her to be happy she'll never understand.
