Open Post the Sequel
how to play.
1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

I DON'T EVEN KNOW
—when he's not sliding across freshly mopped floors ("Crap, crap, crap, crap—!") and into the nearest wall as the criminals he was in pursuit of make a hasty getaway.
"Aw, man."
no subject
(There's a damaged Robin suit in the batcave to remind him why other people can't be like him)
His voice is gruff and distorted as he speaks.
"You're lucky all that happened was that wall."
i should p rewatch at some point instead of flying by way of fond recollection
Had he not tripped, fell, and stumbled into the past in the middle of this classic bout of criminal activity, he would've had time to yank the batsuit out of his bag and find somewhere to haul it on. But there hadn't been time for that, and Terry had learned a while ago that it wasn't the suit that made him Batman. It was what he brought to the table. Batman was Batman, with or without the suit.
And speaking of...
"You have got to be kidding me."
Terry pushes himself up, bracing himself against the wall to avoid slipping on the floor again. Someone really ought to put up one of those wet floor signs.
"That's the look you're going for? Really? Am I ever glad you lost touch with your armored warrior side."
I haven't watched batman beyond in so long, it would be good to fix that
Especially because this kid is speaking to him like he knows him. A fan of some sort, maybe? He's not the sort of person people should want to emulate -- being a hero isn't "cool", it's a necessary evil in a city like Gotham.
"I don't know what you think our relationship is but if you keep going after people like that you're going to get yourself killed."
The voice is critical, and a little condescending. As far as he knows this is just some punk kid, after all.
i think it's all on netflix. we should watch it together sometime :3
It occurs to him that this Bruce doesn't know him; this Bruce is still Batman, still in his prime, still able to fight without having to do so vicariously through a seventeen-year-old. That doesn't, however, do anything to halt his tongue. Try as he might, he can't quite stop himself.
"Killed-smilled. Just another day in the cave — right, Bruce?"
it's not :( I checked. netflix has JL and JLU but no Batman Beyond ;;;;
That basically sets off the alarm bells. Terry, you do realize you're approaching someone who is highly paranoid at the best of times, right? Maybe he doesn't realize that. But when he speaks again his voice is more like a growl, angry and confused at this person who seems to know a hell of a lot about who he is.
"Just who are you, exactly?"
well boo. it used to be. guess i should get unlazy and dig out my dvds, then.
But there's no time for that, as hurried footfalls and muffled voices alert him to the returning presence of the criminals they were both in pursuit of.
"Must've forgot something," Terry says, reaching around into his bag to yank out his suit's mask, at the very least. He tugs it on, hiding his face and effectively making himself look more like the armored bat in front of him. "Time to rumble. I'll explain later."
i need to buy the dvds
He definitely has a lot more questions for this kid but right now? There's bigger things to deal with.
"This isn't over." He huffs before turning around to face the criminals who were making a comeback. The costume the kid tugs on only brings more questions, but those questions will have to wait.
