It's kind of cute -- the way her dad dotes on her. Tyler wouldn't know what that's like. His dad's dead and even when he wasn't, his dad was a dick. His mom used to dote on him -- but now she's dead too and he's trying really hard not to dwell on that (but he can't help but do so).

He laughs a little at the rambling. It was kind of refreshing, seeing something so normal when nothing normal ever, ever happens in Mystic Falls anymore.
