It wouldn't be the first time that they've kissed. He's kissed her before, but he was compelled to do so by something far different than a simple plant dangling innocently over their heads. Something far more ancient that was forever lurking on the fringes of his subconscious, just out of his reach. Sometimes he brushed against it and it took control of him, but now isn't one of those times.

Now is an opportunity to do something he may never get the chance to do again. It's why he's reaching out to grab her arm as she turns to leave—
