Open Mistletoe Shenanigans

Suddenly there's mistletoe above you! And someone is stuck under you! And neither one of you can move until you kiss! Shenanigans abound, basically.

[And once her brother has gone off for that task she turns back to Tamsin with a smile.]

That's a way to say hello.

[She smiles a bit awkwardly as Elijah takes his leave, before giving a bit of a shrug, hands pressed together in front of her chest and elbows out. If anything, she seems younger than she was the last time Rebekah saw her - more in her mannerisms than her actual physical appearance. It's all a bit reminiscent of when they first met, only Tamsin was a lot more confident then.]

Guess I felt like making an entrance.

[It is almost remarkable the way Tamsin looks younger -- like the girl who had rescued her from that tower centuries ago. She can't help but smile at it.]

Well you certainly managed to do that.

[laywaste]

[She smiles shyly, before glancing around the room, taking everything in.]

So. Looks like a big party.

[easily]

My family never does anything half assed.

[laywaste]

So I see.

[She nods a bit.]

Could use some more dancing, though.

[easily]

[Rebekah holds her hand out to Tamsin with a grin.] Let's fix that, then.

[laywaste]

[Tamsin is all too happy to grin as well, taking Rebekah's hand and letting her lead the way to the dance floor.]

[Rebekah places a hand on Tamsin's waist, stepping in close as the music morphs into something a little slower.]

It was a nice surprise, you showing up here tonight. We don't get a lot of those around here.

[laywaste]

[She moves in closer as well, enjoying the proximity as well.]

I missed you.

[The hows and whys are a little hazy still, but Rebekah was a big enough part of her previous life that the longing for her broke through the rest. Exposure and time will bring back the memories themselves, like it did for Bo and Kenzi.]

[easily]

I missed you as well.

[There are few constant in Rebekah's life but she knows eventually she sees Tamsin again, one way or another. It's nice, to have something or someone you can rely on through things.]

[laywaste]

[She gives a small smile at that before her eyes find Klaus in the crowd.]

I'm sure he isn't thrilled to see me, though. Not that I really care.

[easily]

Oh, he never is. He's probably bitter he's never been able to kill you, you know. [Like he does everyone else Rebekah gets close to.]

[laywaste]

[She can't help the sneer that comes with that. Almost a bit like her old self in a way.]

Yeah, well, if he wants to try, he better up his game.

[easily]

But it's always so amusing when he tries.

[Maybe it's not right, but Rebekah does enjoy watching someone who can disable her brother the way Tamsin can. ]

[laywaste]

[She smirks at that before nodding.]

I've been hanging out with this succubus lately - she kind of hates the Dark, but I think she wouldn't mind me indulging those tendencies on him - and kicking him in the balls for good measure.

[easily]

I feel few people would hold it against you, really.

[laywaste]

I always wonder when he's going to master the fine art of making friends he doesn't have to threaten loyalty from.

[A beat.]

Him and the Morrigan would get along really well.

[easily]

Or awfully. I'm not sure we should introduce them

[laywaste]

[Tamsin takes a moment to reconsider those words before nodding again in agreement.]

Yeah, that's probably for the best.

[easily]

[And then she switches the subject because she'd rather not talk about her brother right now.] How long are you planning on staying?

[laywaste]

[She gives a half shrug as she glances around the rest of the party.]

I'm on walkabout. Trying to figure out who the new me is.

[easily]

And the verdict so far?

[laywaste]

[There's a moment where she pauses, because she isn't sure what the answer is still. She only really knows one part of that answer and that doesn't make it any less complicated.]

I'm not sure I want to be Dark anymore.

[easily]

[Rebekah can respect that, the longing to be something more than just evil, a monster.]

Will they let you have that choice?
