how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

She shakes her head. "I didn't, but Derek did. He still owns the place that he and Laura were living in." She hates that she missed that time with her, that she wasn't with them so that she could see her before she died. "How's Scott doing with being an alpha?"

[claustrophobias]

"He seems to be handling it okay. Or if he's not, he's good at hiding it."

Which is possible. It's Scott -- he never wants to worry anyone else.

[impetere]

That's true. Cora still doesn't think that Scott is in the right place to be an alpha, especially with everything that seems to be coming, but if there's anyone who could hold a pack together, it's Scott.

"He's got a lot of help. I'm sure he'll be fine."

[claustrophobias]

"Of course he will. It's Scott."

If there's anyone Isaac has absolute faith in, it's Scott. He'll pull through. He always does.

[impetere]

Cora doesn't share Isaac's faith, because as much as Scott tries - as much as what he is says about his character - there are going to be threats out there that are bigger than what he can take.

"Just be careful."

[claustrophobias]

"Of course."

Easier said then done. Isaac tends to be a little reckless by nature. Runs into things claws first. It's not always the smartest idea.

[impetere]

A lot of things around Beacon Hills are easier said than done. The supernatural doesn't exactly make things easy as a rule.

"How's Stiles's dad doing with ... everything?"

[claustrophobias]

"Good, I guess. I don't really talk to Stiles much, but Scott says he's doing well. They all got out alive."

He's especially glad for Melissa, considering how easily she had taken him in when Derek kicked him out.

[impetere]

"Good," she nods. "That's the important thing, right?"

[claustrophobias]

"It is. Melissa seems to be doing okay with it all, at least. I know she went back to work pretty quickly."

[impetere]

"She's been dealing with Scott being a wolf for a while, though, right?" She shrugs. "Not saying that what she went through is easy, but at least it isn't her whole world view changing."

[claustrophobias]

"True, but I imagine being kidnapped is still pretty rough on someone."

[impetere]

"Yeah, that's true." She nods. "Maybe she's just good at compartmentalizing."

[claustrophobias]

"I wouldn't doubt it." Which is probably for the best. Scott has enough to worry about.

[impetere]

That he does. Cora then nods awkwardly, not really sure what else to say. People aren't really her strong suit. It could be argued that it's not any Hale's strong suit, but that's not her place to stay.

"Still, if you guys need us, you can call. It may take us a while to get back though."

[claustrophobias]

"Of course. Hopefully won't. You guys could probably use the time to get to know one another again."

[impetere]

She nods. "That's what I'm hoping." They're on much better terms than they were when they first started, but they still have a long way to go. It's just a matter of getting some time to themselves to start over.

[claustrophobias]

"I hope things get better."

And he does. Sure, he's gotten frustrated with Derek, angry even but it doesn't mean he wishes the guy any harm.

[impetere]

"Me too. But at least we're together." Because there was a little while there where it looked like they wouldn't be.

[claustrophobias]

"Yeah. And that's a start."

It's good to have family, not that Isaac knows. His are all dead. But he has Scott and Scott's mom -- that's something.

[impetere]

She nods. "It's a lot more than I've had in a long time."

[claustrophobias]

"Derek too." He knows how alone Derek's felt -- or he thinks he does anyway.

[impetere]

She nods a bit at that, before her head turns towards the sound of someone coming up the stairs of the loft. She glances back to him before giving him a small smile. "That's Derek. I'll let you two say goodbye."

Because she knows that even if he isn't Isaac's alpha anymore, for a while he was. That means they should get a little privacy.

[claustrophobias]

He nods a little. "Thanks."

He and Derek may not be on good terms but it would seem weird not to say goodbye at all.

[impetere]

She gives him a small smile, before nodding. "Good luck, Isaac."

And with that, she'll disappear upstairs to give them some privacy.
