how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

"I'm willing to listen to suggestions."

"I'll make you a list," she says with a smile. "Then you can look into them and decide for yourself."

[lockwood]

He grins a little at that, nodding. "Is there anyplace you haven't been but have wanted to?"

[enjoythe_ride]

She pauses, taking a sip of her drink as she considers that. "Somewhere ... tropical. I've never really been anywhere with a proper beach." Not that she's really one for the beach, but she's sure the scenery is beautiful. It's something you should see at least once.

[lockwood]

"Tropical would be nice, I think. I've never really been to a beach."

But Mason had liked them a lot -- Tyler's always kind of wanted to try surfing himself.

"You should try it. I think you'll like it."

[lockwood]

"Yeah, I think I probably would. It'd be a nice change to mountains." Because for some reason Tyler is always off in the mountains.

[enjoythe_ride]

Probably because he wants to run with real wolves? Who really knows?

"It's always good to switch things up every once in a while."

[lockwood]

No one.

"I could definitely use some change in scenery."

[enjoythe_ride]

"I'll include those on the list too, then."

[lockwood]

"Good. Caroline will be glad we have a list -- she's a big list person."

[enjoythe_ride]

"She probably doesn't do well with surprises, then."

[lockwood]

"Not really. She's kind of a control freak." But those words are said very fondly.

[enjoythe_ride]

She smiles a bit at that. "I'm sure you miss her."

[lockwood]

"Like missing a limb." aka, a lot.

[enjoythe_ride]

Bela's not surprised. It shows in her smile, even if there's something that pulls at her because of it. But they're moving past it. That's the point of all this.

Tyler should have a life, and that life doesn't really work with her. "Well. You'll be seeing her soon."

[lockwood]

"Yeah, hopefully."

It's still a little hard for him to believe life could just go back to the way it was before -- like it could really be this easy.

[enjoythe_ride]

It won't ever be the same, not really. But at least it will be a step in the right direction, and he'll be free of it all. That should count for something.

"I think I could use another drink. What about you?"

[lockwood]

"I could definitely use another."

Tyler can't imagine actually being free -- not anymore.

She raises a hand to signal the bartender, and they continue to share drinks for the rest of the evening, trying their best to get some time to relax.
