Open Mistletoe Shenanigans

Suddenly there's mistletoe above you! And someone is stuck under you! And neither one of you can move until you kiss! Shenanigans abound, basically.

I'll be throwing in my muses so feel free to tag them, or leave blank comments with people you want to play and I will give them people! There are no rules here, only fun and silly holiday kissing.

It's only a theory. Believe me, I'm not more eager to test it than you are.

A ridiculous theory. You Earthlings and your silly rituals. Kissing will accomplish nothing.

[capsulecorp]

Well I don't see you coming up with any ideas.

[saiyan]

[ he practically seethes at her through clenched, gnashing teeth. the air around him crackles dangerously, but he holds himself back. it's clear that the only other idea he has is to ascend to super saiyan and see if that'll help him sear the damn thing or at least break himself free, but he won't push himself past it. why? because she's too close. he'd hurt her if he made that kind of dramatic power jump and for reasons he doesn't fully understand, that's something he absolutely refuses to do. ]

[capsulecorp]

[Other people might be scared when he snarls like that -- but Bulma doesn't. He wouldn't hurt her -- even if it's only because he needs her to fix the gravity machine every time he breaks it. (She doesn't allow herself to entertain the idea it might be more).]

You know most guys would be thrilled for the chance to kiss a girl as pretty as me.

[Okay, maybe she's a little insulted the idea seems so abhorrent to him.]

[saiyan]

[ vegeta goes from being on the very fringes of snapping to super saiyan to staring at her wide eyed, almost flustered. but he quickly turns that around into something like disgust, tch-ing at her with crossed arms. ]

I don't want to know about your harlotry.

[capsulecorp]

[She slaps his arm a little for that -- which kind of hurts her in the process because it's like slapping a brick wall. Whatever. The point is she's offended.]

I am not a harlot.

[saiyan]

[ he glances down at where she hit him, then back up at her. one black eyebrow arches as if to say, "really? that's it?" the saiyan barely felt a thing. she couldn't hurt him if she tried. ]

Yet you imply that most males would be lining up to do what you're asking me to.

[capsulecorp]

I said they would want to, I didn't say I would kiss them.

[there's a difference, duh.]

[saiyan]

You don't want to kiss them, but you want to kiss me?

[ he looks distinctly alarmed. uncomfortable, even. were he capable of moving his legs, he likely would've backed up until he put himself through the wall. ]

[capsulecorp]

[It was her turn to look just a little flustered now.]

I didn't say that. But I don't want to be stuck underneath this thing forever either.

[saiyan]

[ he's so uncomfortable that he's uncharacteristically fidgeting. as much as one can fidget when they can't move the lower halves of their body and are standing in too close proximity to another person. ]

Unlike that clown, I do not kiss Earthlings.

[capsulecorp]

[She crosses her arms, rolling her eyes a little]

Right. The Prince of All Saiyans couldn't lower himself with a human.

[Bulma you just said you didn't want to kiss him and now you're arguing like you do. Make sense, please.]

[saiyan]

Do you want me to kiss you or not?

[ he's closed his eyes at this point, as if he were meditating standing up. he'd probably be floating if his feet weren't anchored. but he pops an eye open to peer at when he asks that of her, constantly baffled by her antics. she contradicted herself at ever twist and turn. ]

[capsulecorp]

[She never claimed to make any sense -- but it really bothered her some reason she couldn't place that the idea of kissing her seemed so disgusting to him. It's not like she's just any human.

I just want to be able to move from this spot. And this is only theory either one of us right now to make that happen.

[saiyan]

It's your theory, not mine. Find a better solution that doesn't involve vulgar public displays.

[capsulecorp]

Well you're not exactly helping. [She pauses for a moment.]

Have you tried using your ki to burn it? [That should work, right?]

[saiyan]

[ both eyes open now, one hand lifting into the air above their heads to casually blast the plant with his ki. it scorches the metal beam the thing's attached to, but the plant is unscathed. ]

As you can see, it accomplishes about as much as your tawdry theories.

[capsulecorp]

Says the man who can't even come up with one of his own.

[Seriously, he keeps bitching about her making up stupid theories but he isn't coming up with any.]

[saiyan]

Oh for Kami's sake—

[ he's fast. careful with her, but swift all the same. one eye roll and a fistful of her blouse later, bulma's being tugged into a kiss. ]

[capsulecorp]

[it catches her off guard -- considering how much head been protesting she didn't expect him to actually do it. once the shock wears out she finds herself kissing him back on almost instinct.]

[saiyan]

[ the kiss is relatively chaste, and vegeta breaks it in favor of stealing a peek at the plant to see if it's still there.

it is.

and he still can't move his feet.

mere centimeters from her, he practically growls. ]

I went along with your plan and kissed you and nothing happened! Was this some sort of foil on your part in order to trick me in to kissing a filthy Earth woman?

[capsulecorp]

[....

SERIOUSLY?

Her face contorts in anger and annoyance at the accusation.]

Please, like I have nothing better to do with my time than trying to trick you into kissing me.

[saiyan]

[ he huffs, irritated. like bulma, vegeta's a thinker. in spite of what people may say, he fights with his head more often than note. he thinks things through. it's only when there's something emotionally tethered to him does he launch himself into action without thinking, driven by a need to solve whatever problem is offending him in the worst of ways in a way that's almost primal. ]

Perhaps you didn't do it right.

[ not we. you. of course, the fault is hers. but if this plant thrived on whatever kissing did for it, perhaps they didn't go about it the proper way. ]

[capsulecorp]

[If anything, that only pisses her off more somehow. Her own prde can be as bad as his sometimes, not even worse. She refuses to even consider the idea she did something wrong.]

You were the one who kissed me. So if someone did something wrong, it wasn't me.

[But something didn't work right if they still can't move.]
