The look Cassandra gives Isabela communicates a silent bullshit as she takes a swig from her cup. Even Josephine is not that good at persuasion.

"How fortunate for the Inquisition then that she was able to convince you to lend your...services," she says, letting the matter lie. Deflect all you like, Isabela. She sees through you.

"Well, I also owed Varric a favor," She admits with a shrug of her shoulder. And that probably shows her hand more than anything else. Varric is a good friend. Despite what people might think of Isabela she'll do quite a bit for her friends.

"And a woman like you would sooner settle her debts than leave them," Cassandra notes. She makes no distinction between debts between friends or enemies as she assumes there isn't really one for Isabela.

Isabela snorts a little at the woman like her comment -- if she's supposed to be insulted by that Cassandra will have to try harder. She's heard worst.

"Of course. No one smart lets debt linger."

"And how long until that debt is repaid?" Cassandra asks. Isabela could still very well take off before things were finished.

"Who can say?" It's cryptic mostly because she wants to mess with Cassandra. And because these things can't really be measured in time anyway.
