Open Mistletoe Shenanigans 2015 Edition

Suddenly there's mistletoe above you! And someone is stuck under you! And neither one of you can move until you kiss! Shenanigans abound, basically.

I'll be throwing in my muses so feel free to tag them, or leave blank comments with people you want to play and I will give them people! There are no rules here, only fun and silly holiday kissing.

[Alec is a shameless loser.

He doesn't really grasp Christmas beyond the commercial, understanding just enough to know that it's a time when people spend exorbitant amounts of money on gifts that people will probably never use, and while Alec is fond of the past time (it gives him free stuff to sell and also more stuff to steal), he doesn't actually get why it's a holiday.

Seems a little ridiculous to him.

At the same time, however, there are some traditions that he can't help but appreciate, and mistletoe is one of them. So here he is, hanging out directly under a sprig of the stuff and trying to see who he can catch. Anyone he does should consider themselves lucky. He happens to think he's an excellent kisser.]

[Jessica is all too familiar with Christmas. She came from a very religious family, after all. A lot of the more fun traditions, however, weren't really practiced in her family.

But she's not tied to her family anymore and she can engage in whatever she wants.

So when she spots Alec underneath the mistletoe she makes her way over to him, grinning a little as she steps beneath it as well.]

Guess we're stuck now.

[He grins a bit at that as she makes her way closer, nodding a bit as he does.]

Guess so. Whatever will we do with ourselves.

[His tone is clearly teasing because he is more than okay with kissing Jessica so long as Jessica is okay with kissing him, which it certainly seems like she is.]

[cheeto]

[She is definitely okay with it, which is why her voice takes a coy tone as she responds.]

I have no idea. I'm sure we'll figure out something...

[He grins a bit at that, before shifting closer and snaking an arm around her waist, before pulling her in and kissing her softly.

Best Christmas tradition. Period.]

[Jessica grins in return before wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back.

Definitely the best tradition.]

[And eventually the mistletoe will wear off and they should probably stop kissing, but Jessica is a great kisser so he doesn't really care. People can judge him for it all they want. He don't care.]

[Jessica doesn't particularly care. She likes kissing and what's more? She likes kissing Alec. So she's happy to do that a little longer.]

[And eventually he'll pull back with a little hum and grin.]

Merry Christmas. Not a bad way to celebrate, I have to say.

Neither do I. I'll take kissing over most holiday traditions.

[Not that he really understands a lot of them.]

Me too. Most of the other ones ain't so fun. [Or at least in her experience they weren't. She can't say she misses midnight masses.]

[He shakes his head.]

I'm not sure I get the whole ritual of it all.

[cheeto]

To be honest? Lots the rituals are kinda boring.

[im_apimp]

[He nods in agreement.]

And once they get boring, they kind of lose their point, don't you think?

I definitely think so. I don't miss all the religious stuff my parents used to do around the holidays.

[im_apimp]

[He nods.]

Also none of the story makes any sense - at least not to me, but I might be a little too logic minded.

[cheeto]

I never gave that much thought -- if I questioned any of it Daddy got really upset. [Her expression darkens slightly at that. ]

Can't say I hold any of it too fondly.

[im_apimp]

[His eyes narrow a bit at that, before he shakes his head.]

Man, people suck sometimes. I don't get why people get so intense about something that isn't even really real.

I don't either. He was so sure it was real but I dunno. I don't think I can believe in someone who would be okay with people actin' like he did.

[He shakes his head.]

Me either. Especially a faith that's supposed to be about being kind and courteous to your fellow Earthlings.

[cheeto]

Yeah well all sorts of people use their believes to be dicks. I lost count the amount of times someone's told me God hates fangs.

[He shakes his head.]

Or God hates transgenics. Though they use the word "freaks."

Don't matter what word they use, it's all the same bullshit.
