Open Picture Prompt Post

An Open RP Post, with a ~twist~. Basically, I love picture prompts more than life itself, so this is what you do.
1. You choose one of your characters.
2. You leave me a picture prompt and/or what character of mine you're requesting (if you don't request a specific one, I turn the wheel of RP fortune or something like that).
3. I comment setting up a scenario inspired/based on the prompt
4. profit????
Re: tyler
Eventually he ends up in Paris. The city of love. And it's not like he hasn't been with other girls (he's only..non human) but he's never really managed to love anyone else. Not the way he loved Caroline. He keeps hoping eventually maybe someday they'll accidently run into one another. It's a nice thought.
But it's not until the day he goes to see the Eiffel Tower that he spots a familiar flash of blonde hair behind a camera. It takes all his restraint not to run to her -- he manages a brisk walk.]
Caroline
no subject
Except, she refuses to attend high school over and over and over again. Been there, done that and while the Salvatores may have made that look totally cool, Caroline's "Elena" left ten years back.
It's Bonnie's idea, the only girl in their trio that is beginning to look her age (and even then that's just barely, witches age gracefully, who knew?!), to head to Europe. They're only young once and Bonnie has vacation time coming up. Elena doesn't need any real convincing. Ever since Jeremy... nothing's tethered her anywhere. Caroline's a little bit grateful for the Salvatores. After Jeremy's death nothing could pull her back from the brink. She'd been inconsolable. And because Caroline was Caroline, she pushed all her own feelings down for her best friend's sake.
It all seemed like it had happened yesterday. But, that was how she felt about every day. Maybe it was being a vampire, but she was starting to gain a really good freaking memory.
Like Tyler, Caroline has had men. A few Matt relapses because of convenience and when she's visiting home again to see her mother. A few one night stands. One bartender in New York she couldn't shake but who ultimately she could never open up to.
Not really.
So, here she is. Bonnie and Elena are checking out an older part of Paris. Bonnie says she has a relative in this city. Bonnie has freaking relatives everywhere. So, Caroline is left to fend for herself. She has no problem doing this. She has an impeccable sense of direction and she's not exactly in danger. Any pick pocket would be pulling back a broken hand.
The last time they were at the Eiffel Tower they'd forgotten to take pictures. Caroline won't be making that mistake again.
At first his voice sounds far away, like a ghost's. But, it's vampire hearing, he doesn't even need to speak up. She's not imagining it. For once, she's not thinking about Tyler Lockwood and yet. If she turns, she doesn't want to be disappointed. And even then. What if it is him? There's still Klaus to worry about. She has no doubt that Klaus sends people to spy on her and her friends. Just in case they decide to make contact.
So, the sense of dread, elation, and hope mashes together inside her stomach as she brings the camera down and turns. ]
Tyler?

He's traveled with a few wolf packs here and there. That's where he mostly found the girls he had been involved with. He even had a short tryst with Hayley -- a way of trying to deal with the anger of her betrayal, trying to feel like he had gotten some semblance of power back.
It didn't really work very well.
Mostly, he keeps to himself as much as he can. It's safer for people that way. And he knows he's taking a risk calling out Caroline (if Klaus finds out he contacted her -- ) but it's been over ten years since he last saw her.
How could he not say something?]
You look great.
[He smiles softly, though there's pain mixed in there too. She looks almost exactly like she did when he left. He does too he imagines. But they're not. How could they be?]
no subject
Anyway, her first impulse is the only impulse she follows which is throwing herself at him in a breath-taking (literally) hug. Give her a few seconds, maybe a minute before she can even let herself let go. ]
You too. [ It's muffled into his jacket but the message is probably clear. ]
no subject
There's a familiarity in the hug that's almost painful. It feels like being home again, he doesn't know how else to describe it. His arms come up almost right away to wrap around her waist, holding her close. He doesn't want to let her go, like, ever. That might be a problem.]
I've missed you so much.
no subject
She laughs into his shoulder, then, or is that a tear. Or a few? She can hold it together. And finally, she pulls back. ]
Matt said you were in Prague.
[ But, that postcard could've been delayed and she assumes Tyler sends those on his last day somewhere. It would make sense. ]
Bonnie and Elena are here, too. Not here-here. But, in the city. We're taking a vacation. [ It sounds trivial in the grand scheme of things. ]

I was, a couple of months ago.
[He usually sends them out right before he leaves. It's the safest way. He doesn't send them from everywhere he goes, but periodically, so people can at least still know he's out there -- that he's still alive.
He smiles a little at her words.]
Sounds nice. [and it does. It gets lonely, sometimes, traveling so much alone.]
no subject
She manages a smile that falls as fast as it's formed. ]
It is.
[ But, it doesn't sound like it is judging by her tone. ]
I guess, now that we've run into one another, you have to leave.
no subject
And they're exes. It's been years. Why would she still care?
At her question he nods a little.]
Probably. Can't been too careful.
no subject
[ She doesn't realize, but she'd grabbed his hands at some point, playing with them. She's looking down. Then she looks up. Sincerely. ]
Let's have tonight, Tyler.
no subject
It's Caroline.]
Okay. We'll have tonight.
no subject
[ She exhales, looks around them. ]
Where are you staying?
