how to play.

1. Drop a comment with one or more of your muses. It can be empty if you want me to make a scenario, or you can toss one at me. If you want to just give me a prompt (a word, song, lyric, picture, phrase, anything), I can riff off that too.
2. In the subject line, you can specify any of my muses you might want to play with, or you can ask me to pick someone.
3. just rp with me. if something jives really well, maybe we can continue it in another one of these later, sort of like a super casual verse. if it doesn't, it doesn't.

"You can go anywhere too, you know." He knows she must at least have the money to do that by now.

[enjoythe_ride]

"I have gone everywhere. My job lends itself to quite a bit of travel." But that wasn't what he means and she knows it. "I don't really have family. Or friends for that matter. It almost seems pointless to travel for pleasure if you don't have anyone to do it with."

[lockwood]

"Yeah, I can get that. Next time I leave Mystic Falls, I really don't want it to be alone again."

She nods. "Why don't you see if Caroline would go? Take a year off - see the world?"

[lockwood]

"It's tempting. We almost ran away together once."

[enjoythe_ride]

"At least this time you wouldn't be running. You could take all the time you wanted."

[lockwood]

"Which definitely has some appeal."

[enjoythe_ride]

"I could even recommend a few places if you like. Even though I'm working I still do a good deal of traveling."

[lockwood]

"I'm willing to listen to suggestions."

[enjoythe_ride]

"I'll make you a list," she says with a smile. "Then you can look into them and decide for yourself."

[lockwood]

He grins a little at that, nodding. "Is there anyplace you haven't been but have wanted to?"

[enjoythe_ride]

She pauses, taking a sip of her drink as she considers that. "Somewhere ... tropical. I've never really been anywhere with a proper beach." Not that she's really one for the beach, but she's sure the scenery is beautiful. It's something you should see at least once.

[lockwood]

"Tropical would be nice, I think. I've never really been to a beach."

But Mason had liked them a lot -- Tyler's always kind of wanted to try surfing himself.

"You should try it. I think you'll like it."

[lockwood]

"Yeah, I think I probably would. It'd be a nice change to mountains." Because for some reason Tyler is always off in the mountains.

[enjoythe_ride]

Probably because he wants to run with real wolves? Who really knows?

"It's always good to switch things up every once in a while."

[lockwood]

No one.

"I could definitely use some change in scenery."

[enjoythe_ride]

"I'll include those on the list too, then."

[lockwood]

"Good. Caroline will be glad we have a list -- she's a big list person."

[enjoythe_ride]

"She probably doesn't do well with surprises, then."

[lockwood]

"Not really. She's kind of a control freak." But those words are said very fondly.

She smiles a bit at that. "I'm sure you miss her."

[lockwood]

"Like missing a limb." aka, a lot.

[enjoythe_ride]

Bela's not surprised. It shows in her smile, even if there's something that pulls at her because of it. But they're moving past it. That's the point of all this.

Tyler should have a life, and that life doesn't really work with her. "Well. You'll be seeing her soon."

[lockwood]

"Yeah, hopefully."

It's still a little hard for him to believe life could just go back to the way it was before -- like it could really be this easy.
