Open Picture Prompt Post

An Open RP Post, with a ~twist~. Basically, I love picture prompts more than life itself, so this is what you do.
1. You choose one of your characters.
2. You leave me a picture prompt and/or what character of mine you're requesting (if you don't request a specific one, I turn the wheel of RP fortune or something like that).
3. I comment setting up a scenario inspired/based on the prompt
4. profit????
Elena!
Re: Elena!
Being at a game makes her think of Scott in a way that pangs, even if it's Football instead of Lacrosse. Still, it's hard not to be moved when she sees a young man wheel out his best friend, one who apparently got paralyzed a few months ago.
So she cheers for the Panthers, screaming as loud as she can, smiling for the first time in a long time when she sees him win.
It's not until after the game, when she's making her way down from the bleachers that she notices one of the players, the one who had been there with his friend. She jogs over to him.]
You were really great out there.

if this doesn't work at all, let me know
It's about a hundred years before he comes back, and he doesn't expect to see any familiar faces anymore. He doesn't expect anything at all as he wanders around the familiar woods of the Lockwood property. Land he knows well. Where everything started.
He doesn't know how long he's wandering until he picks up a scent he recognizes. One he hasn't smelled in a long time, but he recognizes it nonetheless.
He zooms to follow it until he stops in front of Elena as well.]

you knew this was coming
I did and I was excited
She's Rebekah dressed up for the night, her hair down in soft curls, and she feels almost giddy as she hears the sound of the engine of the truck she bought him drive up.
Though they had slept together at that one party they have not had much chance to see each other since she's been undaggered. Though there's still a lot of messy things between them she hopes at least tonight go better than the last time he was her date.
Kol's not invited, this time.
In any case, she makes her way out of the house just in time to catch him parking the driveway. Perfect.]

She watches as it happens to Elena too. As the girl becomes less and less pure, less kind, less good and she'd be lying if she said there wasn't pleasure in corrupting her. They're vampires. They all end up corrupt in the end, might as well help her realize it sooner as opposed to later.
They're in the woods of a rural area, one they've hunted down. The two have taken to finding abduction cases (always young girls) and hunting down who's taken them, feeding and killing the men responsible. Usually, they're able to get there before the girls die, but not always. When they don't, things always end up particularly messy.
It's a twisted sort of justice, but it's what they have. It's how they've broken free from the power of the men in their lives. The Salvatores and her brother.]
The cabin should be close, now.

REBEKAH.
"Soon we will be strangers. No, we can never be that. Hurting someone is an act of reluctant intimacy. We will be dangerous acquaintances with a history."

Not that she hasn't been allowing herself certain pleasures. A girl still gets lonely. Little of her family exists anymore and what does is fractured -- it's beyond recognition now. Stefan is familiar, reminds her of a time when she was happy, the last time she really remembers being happy. And she doesn't trust him now, but she can't resist the indulgence either.
It's a temporary fix, how she's draped over him in her bed, drawing lazy circles into his back. Soon enough Elena will be human again, and Stefan will have his answers and Rebekah will be human and she will look for something more permanent.
A life of her own -- finally. She will live and marry and have kids and eventually die and it'll mean more than her thousand years as a monster ever could.
But for now, she indulges.]
REBEKAH AGAIN.
"I felt that there was a piece of me missing, a piece that had become so unnerved that it fell away without me feeling it. I didn’t even know what piece it was — I just felt the gap, and whatever it was, it must have been important."

She falls in love with a young surfer, and it almost fills the void (her lovers always do, but it's never quite enough). She moves in with him, feeds behind his back and generally is content. Or as much as she will be. Still. It can't last forever. Nothing ever does (except for her).
She goes out to watch him surf one morning (he snuck out hours ago) and as she walks out on the sand she notices something. A trail of blood. She follows it but she knows as soon as she starts what she'll find at the end. Her boyfriend's corpse. And her brother standing over it. It's been two years since she last seen him, but for creatures like them that's no time at all.]
I suppose I should have known you'd find me eventually. You never could stand being alone for long.

three guesses who this is for!!
"I never consciously tried to hurt anyone, yet good intentions notwithstanding, when necessity demanded, I could become completely self-centered, even cruel. I was the kind of person who could, using some plausible excuse, inflict on a person I cared for a wound that would never heal."
tyler right??????
But things didn't turn out that way. Elijah is finally back in Mystic Falls (she had been the one to call and tell him about Kol) and it's all a little too late really. The town doesn't really have parties anymore, the new mayor doesn't seem to have the taste for them that Carol Lockwood had, but they dress up and go to a nicer bar than the grill, a little outside of the tiny Virginian town.
It's when they sit down at the bar that she orders them a few rounds of tequila shots. It seems easier than talking.]

Eventually he ends up in Paris. The city of love. And it's not like he hasn't been with other girls (he's only..non human) but he's never really managed to love anyone else. Not the way he loved Caroline. He keeps hoping eventually maybe someday they'll accidently run into one another. It's a nice thought.
But it's not until the day he goes to see the Eiffel Tower that he spots a familiar flash of blonde hair behind a camera. It takes all his restraint not to run to her -- he manages a brisk walk.]

Re: rebekah
Which is why she isn't surprised when she finds out what happens to Kol, she isn't surprised when he tells her them planned on daggering her as well. What does surprise her is when he doesn't go through with it. It's not quite an 80s movie moment, but she'll take it.
And then after traveling through Novia Scotia, Elena gives her the stake, and it's just the three of them. Rebekah can't help but notice the close moments between Stefan and the Doppelganger. She's not the girl who gets picked in the end. She knows how this works.
Which is why she's wandering towards the beach as they talk by the campfire, waiting for a call or text or anything from the others. Some indication that they can move forward.
The sooner they get this over with the sooner she can maybe get that life she wants.]

That last one is really, really important.
It's not easy here. Things are rocky with Derek, Erica and Isaac and she knows that's the way it has to be after everything she's done but it's still hard. She feels constantly on edge, like she has to prove something. Okay, maybe she went too far, she gets that but her mother died. She hadn't been in her right mind.
Still, she's out looking for supplies and it's a little later than she usually stays out. So she's on guard more than usual. Her right hand is covered with the spiked gauntlet they provided her with (they've yet to give her a better weapon, and she's yet to find one) just in case.
She doesn't notice it at first, but soon she begins to hear footsteps behind her. Her heart beats wildly in her chest and she spins around unsure of what to expect --
It's not Derek or a zombie or anything she has to worry about it's Scott. It's not the first time she's thought about him being here (selfishly, she's wished he would show up since she arrived) but he's actually here and in spite of hersef she feels her eyes water up a little.
Because it's been hard being here, and not because of the zombies and Scott's always been the one person she feels like she can just let her guard around. Which is why without giving it much thought she's rushing towards him, wrapping the arm that isn't covered in an archaic weapon around him in a tight hug.]
Scott. It's you. [The words are said softly, like she doesn't quite believe it.
She knows, she broke up with him and maybe it's selfish seeking out this comfort anyways, but she can't help it. It's Scott.]

tbh it was always going to be a road trip option
Maybe he knows as much as she does that both girls could use an escape after everything that happened. After she and Scott broke up -- after Jackson left.
They've been on the road for a couple of hours now when Allison glances over to where Lydia is sitting at the passanger's side.]
Did you fill all our driving playlist with pop music?
...tyler. okay now you can look at me like that. i have no excuse.
i'm even judging myself a little here. whatever ship all the things even in secret, the end.
you need no excuse tbh
He leaves Mystic Falls and travels and travels and eventually ends up in Beacon Hills. He settles down, even enrolls so he could graduate from somewhere (it's what his mom would want) and basically keeps to himself because making connections makes people targets for Klaus.
He can't have more people die for him.
Sports have always been an outlet for Tyler -- he picks up lacrosse pretty quickly and takes up Jackson's old spot as co-captain.
It's a celebration party and somehow, he's ended up here, drinking some shots that are far too sweet for his taste. Not that alcohol has much effect on him. Still, eventually he ends up feeling something akin to a pleasant numbness and even ends up falling asleep on a couch there.
What he doesn't realize is so did someone else. A girl fell asleep on the same couch and he may have subconsciously mistaken her for Caroline and begun to spoon her.
Okay, so maybe he had more shots than he realized and is generally bad at the alone thing.
Whoops.]
see you just get me.
I do. I get that you love beautiful things
